'Cookie Run: OvenSmash' Launches as the Franchise's First 3D MOBA

The beloved Cookie Run franchise, known for its endless runner ('Cookie Run: OvenBreak') and kingdom-building RPG ('Cookie Run: Kingdom'), has expanded into a new genre.

Devsisters officially launched 'Cookie Run: OvenSmash' on mobile platforms in March 2026.

This new title marks the franchise's first foray into the Multiplayer Online Battle Arena (MOBA) genre, offering a competitive twist on the familiar, feisty cookie universe.

The name 'OvenSmash' and the final details of the launch were confirmed ahead of its release.

A major highlight of 'Cookie Run: OvenSmash' is its visual presentation.

It is the first game in the series to feature fully rendered 3D models of the cookies, making them look 'as delicious as we might expect them to be,' according to early previews.

This shift from 2D or 2.5D art styles to 3D adds a fresh layer of appeal and dynamism to the characters.

The game combines this new visual style with the meta-driven, strategic gameplay expected of a MOBA, placing a strong emphasis on hero (cookie) abilities, team composition, and real-time player versus player action.

This launch represents a significant strategic move for Devsisters, aiming to capture a different segment of the mobile gaming market.

By leveraging a well-established and beloved IP and pivoting to a highly competitive and popular genre, the company hopes to engage existing fans in a new way while attracting MOBA enthusiasts.

The game has generated considerable interest, with players eager to see how classic cookie abilities translate into a 3D arena combat setting.

As with other titles in the franchise, 'Cookie Run: OvenSmash' is expected to follow a live-service model with regular updates, new cookie characters, and seasonal events [citation:6].
